Not good: please spend a little more for a decent saw [Posted on 2008-03-22]
I should have been concerned that the manual was clearly written by someone for whom English was a second (or third) language. It was not helpful.

I bought this as my first miter saw at The Anderson's General Store about at a tent sale for $90 about 3 years ago. I started having problems with it immediately: The laser never lined up right, eventually after a couple months of dust, it completely stoppped working. The vice-grip supports that are supposed to hold your workpiece aren't made big enough to reach down to flat 1" pieces of wood, and aren't versatile enough to reach a vertical 2" x 4".

Further, after 2 years of use, the blade now wobbles widely (15 degrees) during use. I'm scared that it will eventually fly off during use and injure someone.

At this writing, this saw is listed for $209. I paid $90 for mine and probably got about $90 of use out of it. I am genuinely concerned for my safety every time I use it, however. I'm currently saving up for a better quality saw.
