This vise turned out to be just an average, OK quality vise built about as beefy as most of the others in this price range. I chose this particular model in part due to its advertised shipping weight of 60 pounds. My thinking was that his has to be a really robust, well built vise to weigh that much. The actual shipping weight turned out to be a mere 28 pounds and thus is just like all the others in this price range. I have pointed out this discrepancy to the vise manufacturer but I guess they feel there must be some value in the error since they've not yet chosen to correct it more than a month later.
