First Battery Did Not Last Long [Posted on 2008-03-28]
An 18-volt 18-22 inch hedger normally costs $80-100 so the price paid of $55 was a bargain. But every one knows what is said about bargains; "you get what you pay for". The hedger itself jams fairly easily with small branches only 1/8 of an inch, or so. The cheap plastic handle also snapped and though relatively inexpensive, it was quite an effort to find a replacement.
I charged the original battery for more than the required time before I used it for the first time but it lasted for only about 6-8 hours of use. So, by the time I finished paying for a replacement battery and a new handle, I will have spent what I could have paid for a much nicer hedger. Hopefully, this replacement battery will last for more than one season.
I went to discuss my problems with the hedger from the store I bought it from and they had discontinued carrying this make and model. All they could do was give me an 800 number. A good lesson learned here. Spend the money and buy from a more reputable company.

Amer. Gardner Hedge Clippers and Weed Wacker [Posted on 2008-05-31]
I own both the Hedge Clippers and Weed wacker. I love the mobility. I have a lot of privit hedge and these clippers are not too heavy and do a fine job. It is nice to have a powerful cordless model. The string trimmer is good too, very portable, great for going places where there is no outlet available.
I am very pleased with the performance.
I bought the two together so I got two batteries. It is nice to have a spare when one runs out.

If you are looking for an extra/replacement battery for your WeedEater brand 22 inch hedge trimmer, this is it! I went to Battery Source first, but they did not have this battery. As far as I can tell, Amazon is about the only place it can be found. This battery is an exact replacement for the one that came with the hedge trimmer, the only difference is that it is grey in color instead of black. Works great!
