I could not find grass whips in my local stores, so found them on Amazon. I bought two. This grass whip works well for all areas, but I also bought a lighter version for light work. These products should be in every store from garden stores to....Target. People have lost sight of the ease of manual products, and they not only help in the pocket book, but keep us and the planet more healthy. Let's get our kids away from the TVs and into some yard work with manual push mowers and things like grass whips, and get away from buying $3.00 a gallon gas for these items. Give the kids the $3.00 instead. And you won't irritate your neighbors with the noisy gas yard tools!

too heavy, too straight [Posted on 2008-05-10]
I bought it from Lowes. The blade is good, it's heavy duty...well it's heavy!! You get tired and sore after 10 swings. The handle is too fat. In he photo, it looks like it has the grip, but mine is simply straight. I wish they make the grip like a baseball bat and the whole handle curved which would be much easier to swing. I will change the handle and use it. Not recommended unless you have big upper body muscle or thinking to get the muscle.
