Bessey Tradesman Clamps [Posted on 2005-03-13] Already have 8 of the TG4.008 clamps and found them so handy wanted to buy several more. They're great for all sorts of glue up situations. Very fast and very strong. The non-marring pads spread the force over larger area and don't damage the wood if you use some caution. With these clamps and most others its easy to apply too much force and starve the glue joint. This package is a good deal and look forward to trying the slightly deeper 5.5" throat on the second clamp. Expect it will give me some additional flexibility on occasion but frankly the smaller clamps have been just fine.
best clamp of its kind [Posted on 2006-01-05] I have had these two sized clamps for years and finally had to get some more. They are the best clamps of their type, no question. I will buy more as I need them, for certain.
Good price for some heavy duty clamps [Posted on 2006-03-02] I find two and a half inch deep clamps have there limitations, and started looking for some deeper clamps. I find the extra depth of these four inch and five and a half inch deep clamps useful for many applications, such as clamping jigs to bandsaw tables and clamping work pieces to a workbench. I gave four stars for being generally good quality clamps, and the fifth star for the price. (I bought four sets, and am considering buying more.)
THE GREATEST CLAMPS ON EARTH ! [Posted on 2007-01-02] Having so many of Bessey's shows I did not go wrong by buying quantity with quality that will last a lifetime. I do own some cheaper clamps and on the wooden handles the rivets stick out cutting into your hand while tightening. Don't go cheap on the first clamps like I did, buy quality.
great clamps, but overpriced [Posted on 2007-05-25] These are some of the nicest clamps of there kind that I have used. Being an Architectural Finish Carpenter full time I have used all different kinds and brands of clamps. The reason I rated them so low was not the clamps, but the service I have received from Amazon. I am an Amazon prime member and the item was to be shipped second day, so that i would receive them today. I need the clamps tomorrow and have put off a project while I have waited. Seeing as how they have not been delivered and the estimated date is over two weeks from now, I had to find them locally. They where priced lower at a national home improvement store where I purchased them.
