Convienient to use but the impeller/fan shattered. It is made from a very brittle plastic. B&D does not sell a replacement. Would like to find a more quality non-B&D product.

Great until impeller cracked rendering unit garbage. I used it lightly for a about 2 years. It worked well for quick cleanup of grass clipping after mowing.

Black & Decker 12-Volt Cordless Broom Hard Surface Sweeper #CS100 is a very handy tool to have "hanging around" literally. It comes with a handy hanging charging station where it resides between uses. Powered by a small 12-Volt sealed Lead-acid battery there is no "memory" problems that plague NI-Cad rechargeables. It has plenty of power for most jobs and I have to yet run out of juice.
Light weight, convenient, powerful and affordable. Only problem, as is with some of B&D's less expensive products, is that there are no repair parts available. They (or you replace) the entire thing.
Regardless, this is a great tool for those with leaf problems on decks and driveways or even blowing the dust off the power tools out in the wood shop. Great for anyone to simply grab, flip the switch and use. Easy on the back and no messing with gasoline, yanking a starting cord or paying out a long extentsion cord that ineviteably becomes knotted up or unplugged.
Impeller Exploded / No Replacement Parts [Posted on 2008-06-15]
I was happy with this blower which I owned for approx 2 years until plastic impeller exploded. Not a problem as you can get replacement parts for anything, right .... NOT! B&D will only sell whole assemblies. What a joke. I was reluctant to purchase Black & Decker, but took a chance. Never again! Purchase at your risk but know service life is ????
