This is a very good quality saw that I bought to replace my 1983 model B&D 10 amp (which is still working). Excellent quality and features, and plenty of power!

Had some battery-operated power tools, but had issues with the batteries and, consequently, couldn't use the tools reliably. Therefore, I recently transitioned back to corded tools and purchased this saw. Considering I'm only a home user, I wanted something of quality but did not need it to be the absolute "top-of-the-line." I just finished building a fence with this saw and found it to be very easy and comfortable to operate and to have plenty of power. In short, it is a great tool and I would highly recommend it. I also liked the fact that it came with its own carrying/storage case.

This was on sale at amazon for an astoundingly low price. I didn't expect much. It turns out this is more saw than I really need, but it's nice to know I have the proper tool should a big job arise. For the small jobs I have around the house, it cuts like butter. The laser sight is not just a hokey gimmick but actually very useful to a hack like me. Typical B&D high quality.

I've worked with power tools as a part of my job for over forty years.
This is one the best home use circular saws for the money I've seen yet.
Easy to use and powerful. Some might find it a little heavy, but that's because of the sturdy construction, it will do the job. The padded grip makes for a lot less hand strain, and adjustment settings are easy to use and well placed.
The storage case is a real bonus, and the laser beam really helps line up that cut.
A quality tool for home use. I recommend it.
