Bustin' Bricks with Bon [Posted on 2006-07-25]
In the midst of an extensive backyard remodel, I remain quite happy with my Bon Brickbuster. Shipping was quick---about one week---and the price was right (just over $300). Blue in color, and light in weight, the Brickbuster is surprisingly easy to use, and requires very little force to split pavers. In fact, I had my 90 pound daughter-in-law cut a couple pavers for me, just to demonstrate to her how easy it was. I am giving the equipment an A+ for ease of operation and overall effectiveness. Previously I had used a wet masonry saw to cut bricks, but never again will I go back to the dust, noise and bother of the saw. I'll just keep lining up the pavers between my Brickbuster splitting blades, pressing down on the handle, and feeling the satisfying "Crack!" as another one cleaves in two.
