lots of power, great quality, Swiss Made [Posted on 2007-04-29] I bought this drill because it got great reviews, looked nice, had a ton of power and was made in Switzerland as opposed to most of the other ones out there that are made in China. I know that everything is cheaper to produce in China, but if a company is cutting corners in that regard, it makes me wonder what other corners are cut (quality and materials?). I know this isn't necessarily true, but in my experience it's been a good guide. I don't abuse the drill and it has treated me with respect as well;) I had also considered a dewalt drill (mexico) but heard the chucks were problematic. I also was going to buy a milwaukee which I thought was made in Germany, but i guess they just ended that for Czech production and now it's already onto Chinese production. I would really love a US made cordless drill, but there are none left, so for now, i'm quite happy with my Swiss made Bosch.
Used it for 1 month [Posted on 2007-05-13] This product is excellent and I have tried several other brands. I would recommend this to anyone.

Bosch Rocks!! [Posted on 2007-06-03] Has the torque to spin those big wood screws, that sucked the life outa my old yellow drill. i won't mention the brand, of that which was replaced. that being the yellow one. :)
awsome [Posted on 2007-07-04] Over the years, I have learned not to waste any of my hard earned money on any power tool thats not a Bosch. They are quite, powerful, smooth and dont get hot!!!
INCREDIBLY GOOD [Posted on 2007-07-18] I count this in the top five purchases in my life. Extemely high quality, very powerful. If you use this drill in any normal way, you will be very happy. If you use it in abnormal ways (see below) you will be astounded.
It drilled a half inch hole in BRICK with cheap bits intended for a hammer drill (the bits didn't survive!). I only managed to max out the drill trying to extract rusty 3/8 inch lag screws from treated 4 X 4's, but my conventional plug-into-the-wall-drill did no better (I was using an adapter to drive hex ratchet sockets). When I say max out, there is some kind of safety torque thing which keeps the drill from harm.
The batteries last a long time, even in heavy abuse.
This drill passes the ULTIMATE consumer test, in which the manufacturer must be smarter than the user, and foresee the user's lack of expertise.
EXTRA Value: 2 batteries, long warranty.
Wow.
