Good value [Posted on 2007-07-08] Works well. The only problem is that the connectors are plastic and I was lazy and jerked on the hose to move the appliance instead of picking it up, breaking the plastic piece. They were very nice and replaced it right away.
Not as Pictured [Posted on 2007-11-06] I received this unit a few days ago, and was suprised to find it is not look anything like the unit in the photo. It is much smaller, and does not allow for attaching the accessories to the unit. It is basically a small carry unit - much lower-tech looking than the one in the photo. It also did not have a car kit, or a soaping wand. The basic unit works fine, and Amazon made some adjustments to keep me happy, but don't order this and expect to receive what is in the photo with all the accesssories.
Great Item for the price! [Posted on 2008-01-12] I bought this for my husband -- he loves it! This product is very strong and dependable for the little price! Highly recommended.
OK but not as advertised [Posted on 2008-04-10] The pressure washer worked fine. But unlike the product description says, it does not come with a turbo nozzle or car care kit. There also is no built in compartment to hold the cord and lance. The part list in the box also shows a detergent bottle, which also does not really come with. After 20 minutes on the phone with the manufacturer, I was told to contact Amazon and work it out with them.
Amazon asked me to return it. I'll order a different one this time.
Problems out of the gate but now it's a workhorse [Posted on 2008-07-02] When I received the washer I unboxed it and had it hooked it up within minutes. I went around the corner to turn on the hose and when I returned I saw that water was streaming out of the swivel adapter (a small plastic connector between the garden hose and the pressure washer). I tightened it and retightened it, tried adding and removing rubber washers, and still could not resolve the leak.
Finally I emailed Campbell Hausfeld about my problem and they mailed me a new swivel adapter. I hooked it up and it still leaked! Finally I took matters into my own hands and cut the small retaining barbs off the rubber washer on each side of the adapter. This allowed it to lay flat and resolved the leak.
With that issue resolved I've been using this unit to strip paint from the brick exterior of my house (in combination with a chemical stripper). Once the stripper has loosened up the paint this washer takes it right off. I was worried that pressure washing the brick might damage it but this unit seems to have enough power to remove the softened paint while not harming the brick or mortar.
This unit is certainly not the most powerful out there but if you're tempted to buy the biggest, most powerful washer out there you need to be aware that they can gouge wood and brick. This unit does a good job without the potential for damage.
