I purchased this so that I could check the shim sizes on my motorcycles valves. It did just what it was suppose to. As with any instrument, don't drop it. Especially this one as there is a lot of plastic and would not only knock it out of spec but probably render it useless if dropped.

I recently purchased this digital caliper to replace my aging dial caliper. Delivery was prompt and the packaging was excellent. The caliper came with the battery installed and a spare in the storage box. Switching between "standard" and "metric" measurements is as simple as pressing a button on the instrument face. The automatic shut off feature displays the measurements long enough to take notice and saves battery life.

I use the caliper on a regular basis for various measurements of remotely operated auto racing vehicles. Over the past two months, there have been no problems or short comings with the instrument.
