2400 PSI [Posted on 2008-04-05]
My cousin once had a pressure washer business, he told me to buy more gallons per minute rather than PSI. I didn't listen, because I wanted new and the more gallons per minute would have to be a used one for my price range. This washer is a slower, but once everything is cleaned up, it will only be used for small jobs around the house. very good for touching up. A two car driveway will take around two hours steady at it with this machine. I have noticed the trigger doesn't work perfect and am figuring the first upgrade to the machine will be a different wand. I also read reviews about not starting, I read the instructions after I had problems starting. Once you go by the instructions it starts very well every time. I got a good deal on it. I am happy with the machine for what I paid. My cousin was impressed with the way the hose has a place, as well as I, also the handle can be folded up very easy to make a perfect square frame to store, and leaves room to stack a box on top of machine while in storage.

Alert [Posted on 2008-05-30]
I purchased this power washer as remanufactured. When it cmae there were a few broken pieces but nothing integral to making the washer work. It worked well for the first use but on the second use wouldn't stay running. /there is a thermostat that keeps it from overheating and my theory is that it is malfunctioning. While trying to call the manufacturer as it is under warranty, there is never an answer or opportunity to leave a message. I tried sending them an email through their contact tab on the website and it was returned undeliverable. While I like the machine and think it will be fine once i get this fixed, just don't expect to be able to make a warranty claim. Buyer beware!

Works great once running. What are all those parts for? [Posted on 2008-05-30]
I like the product. Once running it is powerful and consistent.

It does not start terrifically easy and I find I need to disconned the low oil sensor wire until it warms up enough. Dip stick shows full oil but kicks out for the first few minutes. Once running it is great and I can plug the sensor wire back in.
Also not sure about what the 90deg threaded rod is that came with it in a little baggie??
Finally, the manual is fair to poor. It asks one to refer to the pump manual on how to maintain, etc, but no manual or manufacturer name is visible.

That said, it cleans VERY WELL once running. Plenty of power and GREAT for the price. I'll deal with the caveats.

I purchased this item at a reduced price as a factory refurbish. The price was the primary basis for giving this product an above average review. I did a lot of searching and it's going to be very difficult to beat the value for this grade of pressure washer.

It is impossible to give this item 5 stars based solely on the instructions/directions, as they are without question inadequate for a person who has no familiarity with such products. For starters, there was no clear diagram of important parts. The only diagram I had was a mice-print variety with lines going to unseen parts behind the diagram, which did not number parts I did need to find yet named all of the "coils, gaskets, seals" and mechanical parts no one would ever care to know about, locate or tinker with unless they were tearing the product apart. I remain confused by the different references to "pump oil" and "crank case oil." Since the diagram did not point to any other oil spout, the only oil I filled was the one with an indicated "oil" cap, and I hope that is sufficient. In summary, the instructions use technical jargon without clear diagrams of the parts being referred to.

Like others who posted reviews, I too initially had difficulty keeping this product running. The product would run for a number of seconds, and then shut off. Like others, I believe this was related to the low oil sensor and I eventually filled the oil nearly to the point of overfill [high on the dipstick, and I could visibly see it creeping up the fill nozzle]. Then the product started but ran for 5 minutes and than stopped abruptly. Upon restart, it would run for roughly 1 minute before again stopping abruptly.

I was *very* close to putting this product back into its packaging and mailing back after struggling for 45 minutes, and then I recognized that the tires, while not appearing 'flat' were in fact not inflated. This struck me as a possible cause of the failure as the directions state that a unit which sits unevenly will stop due to faulty oil reading. On a hunch, I placed a 1" plank of wood under the tires to simulate full inflation, and lo and behold this product ran for 45 minutes without interruption until out of fuel. Upon refill, it continued to run, but abruptly stopped when I extended the hose in a way that pulled the unit off the wood plank. I fully inflated the tires the following evening, and in fact it raised the height of the front, and again the product ran without interruption.

In summary, anyone who has problems keeping this product running should check the tire inflation. It sounds crazy, but based on my experience it would not surprise me if a lot of people have returned this product as defective merely because the oil sensor is too sensitive to run in the state this product is delivered, without tire inflation.

When running, this product is very powerful and cleaned off my very large deck beautifully. Again, an extremely good value refurbished aside from the bad directions and sensitive oil shut off.

I ordered this based on the brand name. I have not had a chance to use it yet but knowing this company, I'm sure I won't be disappointed. I cannot give it a 5 star as I have not had a chance to use it. The 4 star is rated on the reputation of the brand name alone.
