Its OK [Posted on 2007-11-06] For the price its Ok ,not great. It wont drive a 2" staple ,but it does work. If you are looking for something "heavy duty" keep looking.
Consumate capenter [Posted on 2008-01-28] Love this DeWalt medium crown stapler. It takes most of the work out of work and lets me get twice as much done in half the time. Good construction and quality and trouble free service.
Well made field stapler [Posted on 2008-04-10] I'm real happy with this stapler, it's been a great value and a real money maker at the jobsite. I think I picked it up for $110 bucks.
I run a 150PSI air compressor, and generally frame with 100lbs in the line. Turn your line pressure up to 110-120 when you're shooting 2" staples and it'll drive them with no trouble. Drives everything else just fine at 100PSI. The housing is durable and the unjamming mechanism is flawless, though it's only jammed twice in the last 3 houses we framed.
Very satisfying tool [Posted on 2008-05-18] I've been using this DeWALT stapler for a couple of weeks and have found it a completely satisfying tool. I bought it to install cedar sidewall shingles using 1-inch stainless-steel staples, and I've driven about 2500 staples so far. Every trigger squeeze has fired a staple, and not a single one has jammed or gone astray. I haven't yet tried driving longer staples, but the tool certainly has lots of reserve power that I'm not using.
(Tip: I found FastenerUSA to be a good source for the stainless-steel staples, which I couldn't find locally. Price and speed of delivery were excellent, and so is the quality.)
So far this tool compares favorably with my Milwaukee framing and finish nailers, which I've had for a few years and have also found to be excellent tools.
