Customer Reviews:

A real tool [Posted on 2007-08-11]
Very good compressor, a little on the heavy side, but has plenty of
power and air for my hardwood flooring work. A professional's tool
I tried the Thomas 3 gallon and felt like it was made for assembling
model airplanes or blowing the dust off your safety glasses

Doesn't match up to a Makita MAC2400 [Posted on 2008-01-26]
I've had this DeWalt compressor for three years and have cussed it the last two years. It performs horribly when it's cold, takes a long time to fill with air and is fairly loud. I really didn't realize how much I hated it until I finally had enough and purchased a Makita MAC2400. It is twice the compressor, performs great when it's cold and is half as loud as the DeWalt. The Makita is a little heavier, but for only $20 more you get a much better compressor.

sweet [Posted on 2008-03-24]
beat home depot by a hundred bucks. now i have an extra hunsky for a massage!!!!!!!!!!!

Too weak [Posted on 2008-05-09]
Not enough air flow for most of my needs. Only buy for very light work. The air outlet is too close to the handle, had to change it around.

What makes this one the best . . . [Posted on 2008-08-29]
What makes this the best all around compressor there is: It's really and Emglo compressor with yellow paint! OK, as a general contractor on the Oregon Coast, I bought my Emglo (absolutely identical to this DeWalt) back in 1989. It was in use daily for years there, and then when I moved to Hawaii in '93 it's been used less, but still gets used regularly in my remodel business here. Having spent those 15 years in some of the most corrosive environments there are, the compressor is serious ugly now, all covered with rust. It still runs as well as it did when new. Other than oil changes, which I have been embarrassingly irregular with, this unit has required no service or repair. This compressor regularly supplies two or three framing nailers at the same time, so it does what it's supposed to. It will not supply an air-hungry sander or other tool that runs continuously, but that's also not its intended use. I've used it often for a random-orbit sander, but if I need to use the sander continuously, I'll use an electric one or do the job in my shop where I have a stationary compressor.

I'm glad to see that DeWalt combined efforts with Emglo to add yet another excellent dimension to their tool line. Needless to say, my truck is filled with yellow tools. The bottom line: I'd rate this compressor as indestructible!
