Customer Reviews:

"REAL" Power but No Clutch [Posted on 2000-10-20]
This drill is so much overkill for 95% of the work you're likely to do. My Makita 12V is my usual side-arm. This DeWalt 24V is heavy, pricey, no clutch, and comes with only 1 battery. BUT, for that 5% when you need this much power, it is THE TOOL. Had to drill many 1/2" holes through 4" concrete. Went through like butter. The carbide-jawed chuck is a dream. My old 1/2" drill spun big bits all the time.

Director of Facilities/Contractor [Posted on 2000-12-27]
DeWalt, in general, has excellent tools... and this is no exception. As a facilities director of a very old church needing lots of work, I look for tools that are easy to use, do the job right the first time, and powerfull enough for the job at hand. This is not a tool that will be your first choice for a couple of holes, and cetainly not to drive screws ( a 14-volt is a better choice for that), but when you need torque, longevity, and just plain power, this will be your #1 choice. The case is a great extra, and although only 1 battery is included, after you get the 24-v circular saw, you're on your way to a better collection!

A strong performing workhorse [Posted on 2000-12-28]
This is another example of Dewalt's continuing excellence in cordless tools. I am a contractor and need to drill lots and lots of holes in concrete and wood to wire customer's homes. I regularly run drill bits from 1/4" right up to 3 1/2". I have been using Dewalt's 18V system along with corded drills until now. The 24V DW006K has the extra torque to utilize larger bits for longer times. The chuck is easy to use and holds the bits firmly. I would highly recommend this drill to anyone who needs commercial dependability and performance.

24 volt drill/hammerdrill [Posted on 2001-04-26]
The 24 volt cordless hammerdrill is awesome to say the least. It packs raw power for a cordless drill. It's great for drilling though wall studs, pipes and electrical work. It's also great for masonry projects too. For the rough brutal work this drill does the battery lasts a while. If you are doing any big projects and you hate dragging the cord along with you I highly recommend this drill. Hey, even after you get it and you decide you like carrying the cord you can buy the 24 volt converter and plug it in!!!

Perfect [Posted on 2002-09-05]
That's all that needs to be said. Not a single flaw found in over two months of use.
