This is a nice tool, however i had few issues with it. The base itself is kinda light and made of plastic. I would have preferred maybe something with about 2x the weight.
It does the job, the tool is for the pro's, if you just need to sharper home knives and don't want to spend an hour doing it, i recomend you get a qualify electric piece.
Just be sure, you get one that has enough power to sharpen the knives.
