I wanted to buy this jig but.................... [Posted on 2007-06-05] I placed this jig into my shopping cart, got up from my computer to go get my credit card off the table and pay for it and it went up almost 50.00 in a matter of about 5 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It went from 48.99 to 99.99 in just that time. Oh, and by the way Amazon was nice enough to put a pop-up in the corner explaining to me that the price went up! I have spent over a 1,000 dollars at Amazon in the last 3 months and this is how they treat me! They are starting to act like Wal-Mart! God help us all!
NOTE: Amazon e-mailed me today and ask me to call. I did but they still refused to make the price what it was and told me that they hope I will still shop with them. My local Lowes has thias same jig for 89.00, I guess Lowes will get my busines. Sorry Amazon.
A Precision Jig That's Worth The Money. [Posted on 2007-06-08] I bought this jig a couple of years ago from Amazon and have never had a problem installing it or using it. I have one of those newer Craftsman Hybred type saw and the jig works like a clock in it. I've made tenons for cabinets, frames and even a rocker. No problem. Buy it!
Glad I bought it [Posted on 2007-06-09] I was going to buy a tenoning Jig when I was at the Grizzy Outlet in PA but I didn't. But when I saw this delta at the same price I jumped on it. The Jig is first class, had to addapt it to left tilt for my saw. That was a piece of cake the instructions were very clear. I was a machinest for a number of years and this product is machined well.
Nice adder! [Posted on 2007-12-18] I shopped for a good tenoning jig for my Delta contractors saw, looking at several different brands from a host of other manufacturers/suppliers. I settled on the Delta unit because of the quality of the unit, the excellent repeatability, and ease of set-up. Good job, Delta!
They don't make em like they used to [Posted on 2008-05-24] I like this jig. It adjusts smoothly and squarely and all the edged are eased so I didn't have to go around with a file and de-burr the corners. My crank handle was a bit wobbly at first but I unscrewed the hex screw and cut off about 1/16" and filed it smooth and now it cranks like a much more expensive tool. The cast iron face is a little smoother than a typical blanchard ground face and the bottom of the unit (the part that contacts the table) is flat and smooth. I can cut tenon shoulders all day with this thing. What makes my unit so smooth and sturdy? I bought this exact unit 20 years ago for $59.00 because I couldn't afford the big cast iron model Delta used to sell for $350.00 both were made in the United States back then and the finish was carefully done. The parts were thicker and the components fit together with tighter tolerances. I guess the Chinese and Delta have pulled another one over on all of us. My older unit get's 4 stars, the new unit? I don't know. I wouldn't buy one made in china or Taiwan. I've seen the quality and it doesn't exist.
