Excellent first table saw [Posted on 2007-03-04]
I bought this saw over 5 months ago as my very first table saw. In fact, I had never even used a table saw before this one. Considering how much money I've since spent on my new woodworking hobby, if I had to do it over I'd probably fork out the cash for one of the bigger boys.

Having said that, however, this saw is a bargain price saw (at least it was when I bought it for a few hundred bucks, including shipping) with some darn good features and power. Put a good saw blade on it and despite the relative lack of power, belt drive and other "gotta haves" according to many experienced woodworkers, it has served me very well so far.

It's not a powerhouse, yet it's done what I've asked of it with hardly a complaint at all. Even hard stuff like black walnut, mahogany, purple heart, etc, has been no obstacle for this saw. Kinda makes me wonder why so many insist on big horse power saws. For the hobbyist like me, this saw seems a very good compromise.

On the other hand, I'd be a little happier with a larger table, better fence system and a better table insert design (2 rubber washered screws do not provide accurate and stable support, 4 would be better). But then, using shop-made crosscut and panel cutting sleds, fence boards and inserts, those shortfalls are overcome fairly simply.

The blade guard/splitter/anti-kickback fingers unit is a major pain in the butt, but I've read that about pretty much all stock guards even on expensive saws. The dust collection system works like a charm.

Oh yeah, it's light enough to easily put on a mobile base and set aside to make room in my garage shop. Overall I'm quite pleased with this saw.

Delta TS350 Contractor Saw [Posted on 2007-03-11]
Well this is a nice table. Although, uunless I am missing something the blade tilts to the right not the left. SO if you are looking for the left tilt beware this is not left tilting. I did not buy for the left tilt so I was not so disapointed. THe table cuts very smoothly and accurately. The angle set is not super accurate so an additional angle guage would be wise otherwise your 45s will be 44.5 and 46.2 and everything but 45 on the dot.

for the $$$ she is very sturdy workhorse and will do the job. If you are looking to make furniture get something with a better angle change and a better fence this is the bottom of the line (although there are many aftermarket addons that would make it much much better). [...]

Delta saw  [Posted on 2007-05-15]
This saw is a beast...powerful, accurate, and quite. Simple to put together and works perfect. A few issues with the function of the dust collection system. I am doing some modifications to fit my needs. Over all, I got a killer deal on a great compact saw. I highly recommend that anyone buying this item go a head and buy the rolling base since it is too heavy to move with out.

Excellent Small Shop Table Saw [Posted on 2007-06-13]
I purchased the Delta TS350 to be my main rip and crosscut saw in my shop. I am very pleased with the power and ease of use. Set up was without incident. The dust collector design is excellent. The only negative is the size and location of the On/Off switch. The switch is quite small and you must feel around below the rip gauge support arm bracket.

A real workhorse [Posted on 2008-01-04]
I design and make furniture for selective needs (plenty of oak), the simple but heavy duty design and table size allow for even the occasional need to rip plywood!!!
