I bought a Disto A3 last week and I am amazed at how accurate this is. I have been using it for base and crown moulding. What a time saver. So easy and so precise. Perfect for finish carpenters. At first I had a hard time trusting the measurments so I would measure with my tape to make sure and then I would cut a little long (a trait of a finish carpenter). Once I got used to it and trusted it I fell in love with it. Go buy one, you will not be disappointed!!!!

I am an Architect and use it for interior and exterior
measurements. Its very accurate all the time.
I cannot do any measurment now a days without it.
A great improvement from my sonic tape I had before.
It saves me lot of time.
I greatly recommend this product.
Poor for outdoor measurements [Posted on 2007-09-22]
I bought this unit to measure distances during track and field practices (discus, shot put, hammer, javelin). I can only see the laser dot outdoors to about 20 feet. It is supposed to work at 200 feet. I spent a lot of money for nothing.
It is very accurate indoors, but that is not why I bought it.
