the best little driver I've ever used [Posted on 2007-10-13] So it's small. it's shaped like a pistol really, but efficient design for a hand held gizmo iconic. there is incredible torque, easy use, an incredible charge per each tiny battery. there is no reason I can see to buy those large awkward drills. The only crit is that you need to buy a chuck to use non-keyed drill bits. but otherwise if you are driving screws this is the bomb. bought the fac. recond. and it's been great so far.
Very good screwdriver, good buy [Posted on 2007-10-18] drives screws like a champ, has reduced my use of my 14.4v dewalt's and makita's!!
My new best friend [Posted on 2007-10-25] Unlike NiCad powered tools, this one doesn't loose it's charge while sitting on the shelf. Self-discharge was a constant source of frustration with my NiCad based old powered screwdriver. Sometimes I use a tool like this every day, other times it might sit for a month. With a NiCad tool sitting for a month means a dead battery, but not with this jewel.
Bosch really thought this tool through. The size and balance feel perfect in my hand. The built-in white-LED light is a feature I now wouldn't want to be without. We have been doing a bit of remodeling and redecorating for which this compact screw driver is just the ticket. The only change I would ask for is some kind of on-tool storage for at least one extra bit.
For the money, and the quality, you can't beat it. [Posted on 2008-05-04] It helps me around the house, just the way I planned it.
It's TINY, lightweight, and a torque monster for its size.
I have been able to drive deck screws (2x4 into a 2x4, using a 3" deck screw), and it worked. But it struggled. However, I didnt buy this to DO THAT. This is for household stuff.
I also use it to rebuild cars, so with the clutch set to 9 or 10, I can reassemble parts easily with a socket bit chucked in the driver, and get them quite tight. Usually tight enough for final assembly.
Good stuff. Very happy.
PS, they brand "Recon" into the handle, so you know it's reconditioned.
Bosch PS20-2 A Fine Tool [Posted on 2008-05-27] I have been using the PS20-2 for about a year. I bought it, from Amazon, based on the user reviews. I was not disappointed; the tool is everything it was said to be and continues to impress me with it's no-nonsense performance. My need was for a small, lightweight yet reasonably powerful electric screwdriver that was easy to hold and didn't weigh a ton--I have a carpal/nerve problem in my wrist--and would work more than two weeks after purchase. The PS20-2 fit my need perfectly and I highly recommend it, particularly to people in the electronics business who regularly need to remove/re-install a dozen or more cover screws. I would have given 5 stars but for (1) it lacks a clip for holding a second bit, and (2) it's a bit anemic when driving large screws. But, ya can't have everything.
