i purchased this saw because my last saw[a porter-cable]was stolen.it is very powerful,ripping sheets of ply,2x's,pvc pipe with no problems at all.it does it all day without complaining.just make sure the blade's sharp and the cord is heavy enough.the gauges for blade angle,depth andwith are all well marked and easy to use.easy to adjust also.good buy!!

Although the depth gauge is quick and easy, there is no visibility around the base to the blade. It is heavy, so it's not for the traveling worker.
