Customer Reviews:

You pull, pull, pull, and pull [Posted on 2008-09-03]
I follow the instructions exactly. Works good at first but on day 2, be ready to pull and pull. I was so aggravated, I wanted to punch the person at Ryobi who made this in the face. If you only have light work get an electric before you get this as it has the same amount of power. Cool case, good manual, cool look, but crappy engine. The air filter cover kept coming off because it vibrated so much.

It does not idle very well (with brand new gas in it) and when it dies, you pull and pull. This would be good saw if it was electric start, but that is not possible. Nahh, it would still be a crappy saw.

If you have a ryobi weedeater, expect the same, but alot worse.

Not as described [Posted on 2008-09-11]
Although the product description says that it comes assembled in a deluxe case with oil, it actually comes disassembled in a cardboard box without oil. It would be nice if they knew what they were selling.

Ryobi Chain Saw [Posted on 2008-09-22]
Saw looked practically new. Started after one or two pulls and has ran excellent since then. The only negative I can think of is that the chain was dull out of the box. I replaced with a new one and it has been a great saw since them.

Be very careful of this product - Made in China [Posted on 2008-10-01]
Used it for a few hours but it kept going off and was difficult to run. I thought I read the instructions carefully but soon found out that the spark plug was shot. I took it to a repair place and all he said was to NEVER buy any power tool that is "reconditioned" because the previous owner probably wrecked it and brought it back. Eventually, I found an authorized Ryobi shop. He checked it out and said the cylinder was scorched and it wasn't even worth repairing. Crap.

do not buy [Posted on 2008-10-09]
pro: none
cons: it does not work

Do not buy. it is reconditioned and if you have any problem with it, they won't accept returns.
a waste of time and money
