I installed a nice 80 tooth blade on this for frame making. I have a larger miter saw for big work so this one is just for frame making and smaller work. For the price it work great and does exactly what I need it to do. Cuts great, handle is comfortable, and have had no issues over this first couple of weeks.

Not Accurate - Get What You Pay For [Posted on 2008-06-23]
On my Ryobi 1342 the fence could not be squared to the blade with the miter locked at 90 degrees.

The fence has 4 bolts that are supposed to allow adjustment - but when fully loosened the fence could not physically be moved far enough to square with the blade - and tightening the bolts moves it back to the same position - NOT a good adjustment setup.

The miter slide locks at 90 and every 15 degrees. I could move it slightly off 90 to get a square cut, but it would drift back into the 90 degree lock because it was so close no matter how hard I tightened the miter screw - so still an inaccurate crosscut, and the miter slide cannot be adjusted. Who would want to tinker with the miter slide every time they want a clean crosscut anyway?

This is supposed to be a general purpose budget saw - I could understand it not being accurate enough for fine woodworking bevels, but a saw that can't do a square 90 degree cutoff is totally useless.
