Customer Reviews:

A good idea..... [Posted on 2007-07-31]
The handle that rotates with your grip is a great idea....it really did help make things more ergonomic. The problem is that the rotating handle is held in place in the pruner by a plastic peg sliding in a plastic slot. It became worn down within 2 months so that the rotating handle just dropped out of the pruner at will....usually when up on a ladder!

Fiskars pruner is a must have! [Posted on 2007-09-03]
I bought these because my other cutting instruments were tiring me out & I was always sharpening them. These are like cutting butter. They cut bigger branches than I would have believed. I like the angle very much. They are so comfortable to use. I also bought a Fiskars cutter fom Amazon that has tiny thin blades. I keep these 2 products in my tool wagon all the time. I have 5 acres with varied shrubbery, flowers, trees etc. These come in so handy.

Clever and Rugged Design, Painless Hand Lopper [Posted on 2007-09-23]
This the next best thing to having a full size lopper in the palm of your hand. It's very strong with a power gear mechanism that makes cutting painless. Because of the power gear action, the trigger handle rotates, softening the blow when the sheers get through the branch. With traditional sheers, the snapping action can be painful after an hour or two of heavy duty pruning.

These are heavy pruners, the grip is very comfortable. I've only had these for two years, but it's going strong. I wouldn't recommend it for professional u because of the exposed coil spring which is likely get clogged or damaged under heavy abuse, but it's great for the home owner.

This performs the job of countless other cutting implements (small sheers to a medium duty lopper). It's not a delicate cutter, but until recently, I was using it to deadhead my flowers with good results.

I wish I could say I like this item [Posted on 2007-11-15]
I wish I could say I like this item, so many folks do...and Fiskars makes GREAT stuff, most of the time. But, if you have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, these pruners are a nightmare. They don't tell you that the handle ROLLS when you squeeze it closed. You have to grip it relatively tightly, a very painful experience for those of us with CTS. I assume this isn't a problem for those with arthritis (don't know why), but it would be SO NICE if they told folks about this rather odd feature ON THE DESCRIPTION....

A manly tool [Posted on 2008-01-13]
I purchased the Fiskars Power Gear Pruners as a Christmas present for my wife. Unfortunately, they don't fit. By that I mean that the pruners are too large for my wife's hand, and she does not have small hands. The upside is that she has given them to me and I find them to be powerful. It is still early to give a full evaluation, but so far, they are very good.
