Frued PKG0024
As my use of the router has been increasing I needed something better than my old Craftsman 12X16 aluminum table with enough said about that.
I decided to take a chance on the frued system. Well I am completely satisfied, not one complaint. The router is super and the collett was already in so no problem there. I do agree that the collect nut would be better with more depth on the nut.
The fence is awesome doesn't have as much backlash in the adjustment than a good lathe. The plans for the base give surface dimensions that they recommend. Other than that they are useless. I consider this a good piece of equipment and recommend it in lue of building your own

The particle board(melmolene?)guides had too much flex so I replaced them with 2" X 3/8" X16" aluminum guides milling the same slots and recess as on the wooden ones. Now I have a perfict piece of equipment worth 5***** .Maby some one will make this available.

I've used the product for a couple of weeks now building drawers. First the complaint, I received two 1/2" collets instead of a 1/2" and 1/4" collett. I'm still trying to get a replacement from Freud, 800-472-7307.
The soft start feature on the router is super, the machine doesn't flinch as it comes up to speed. I did install the Router-Razer RZ100 so I can raise and lower the router from either end of the router. The installation took about two hours. Noise level is comfortable.
This 3 1/4 hp router is considerably quiter than my 3/4 hp Skill router. Although heavy, it is well balanced and well constructed.
The micro adjustable fence is superb. While setting up using a drawer lock bit to construct drawers, the adjustable fence and Router Razer made it possible to make minute adjustments until the parts mated PERFECTLY!. It took less than 10 minutes to make all the adjustments and I didn't create a bucket of scrap parts in the process. After tearing down the setup I discovered I had missed cutting one part and I was able to reset up within minutes, cut the part. It mated perfectly with the other parts. The particle board fence guides are a bit flexible. I will likely replace them someday, but the product is usable right out of the box with two saw horses.
The large 24 x 32" table is big enough to span a pair of saw horses. I may make a perminate table someday, but it works well as is and this method is easy to set up and take down.
I'm so impressed with this product combination I wish I hadn't put off buying if for so long. I am trying to find the pair of "optional" feather boards shown in the images.
