As a finish carpenter ,I needed a blade that would cut miters without blade defliction on my hitachi sliding saw. This blade works very well. I have several blades, they stay sharp and can be sharpened about three times before you toss them.Cuts pine like a dream, hard wood takes a sharp blade espicaly on miters,

I chose to replace rather than sharpen the factory blade on my Makita 18v chop saw. Although I generally prefer Forrest blades, and require perfect cuts (using alder trim), I followed my instinct and Forrest's suggestion that its blade might be too massive for the Makita saw.
