Size does not matter! [Posted on 2007-01-09] I had long wanted a fish tape to pull wire under carpet or in the walls. However, I did not want to deal with a large electricians fish tape.
This fish tape is for pulls less than 25 foot. A lenght that is perfect for a non-professional such as myself. Most impressive is the fact that this fish tape is small enough to fit in a small toolbox or even in a small kitchen drawer or desk drawer.
Are you are looking for a fish tape that is compact; yet long enough to satify the average do it your selfer? Purchase this product with confidence.
Just the right length, and fits in a toolbox! [Posted on 2007-12-28] This is really a great item.
I have several fish tapes, fiberglass poles, and pain old twine for running wires inside of walls. This one is by far the most portable and practical one I've found. It is very small, and will fit in a toolbox easily. The red color of the casing makes it easy to spot in darker environments.
The thick black rubber grip makes it easy to hold. It has an innovative mechanism that enables the black metal "tape" to easily roll back up into the compact case. It is a little wider than other tapes, which I've found is an advantage because it gives it a little more side-to-side resistance to sway, without significantly increasing the size.
Recommended.

Good value and very useful [Posted on 2008-01-18] When I received this tool, I immediately used it to run video cables inside a wall, through the attic and down another wall. Made my job a lot easier than if I tried using other methods. The product is a good quality tool and should be a part of your tool collection if you do any kind of wiring work. The fish tape is sturdy yet flexible enough to snake inside walls, and can be used to run wiring behind objects that are big, heavy and would be a pain to move. This is useful tool at a good price. I had priced similar tools at retailers in my area and amazon.com offered this tool at a very good price. Would recommend this tool for people who do home repairs, and other home projects around the house.
It works. [Posted on 2008-01-31] I've been using this for running networking cable through walls in a house and it's worked just great. It just feels a bit cheap, though: the winding isn't as smooth as it could be and it just feels like it could stop working after extended use. I'd highly recommend it for small projects, but it seems like you could do a bit better with a more professional tool.
