Have been very happy with my purchase as i have been renovating my bathroom. I did the first part of the trim without it and was frustrated. I then received my Mitre saw and wizzed right thru the remainder with excellent results. The price was also something I could afford. thank you Amazon & GMC. HNLeete

I cannot depend on it to do professional jobs that require accuracy.
Although it is usable for simple tasks. If you know your tasks, you can save money just buying this unit.

Works great and a super deal.I had it almost a year now and use it regularly and never had any trouble.The laser line is a plus,haven't needed a board stretcher since I started using it.

Worthless Warranty --Shoddy Saw [Posted on 2007-07-25]
This saw sat in my workshop for 9 months before I used it on a project. Stopped working after 50 cuts or so. Since it had a 2-yr replacement warranty,(1-866-307-0132) I assumed getting it replaced wouldn't be too much of a hassle. Was I wrong. I have tried for nearly 2 months to get it replaced and am finally giving up. Since GMC, Global Machinery Company, is headquartered in Australia,when you call during normal business hours in the US, you get an answering service. When you do get through,the GMC rep directs you back to Amazon insisting Amazon will send another. Amazon reps say they have a 30-day replacement guarantee but insists GMC needs to replace it after 30-days. After 3 rounds of this, enough is enough. Even if it only cost $45, the aggravation isn't worth it. I don't think Amazon should be doing business with GMC and selling their products when GMC misrepresents the warranty. Be advised, if you buy a GMC product from Amazon, the advertised 2 year replacement warranty is a complete sham.
