A reliable water timer [Posted on 2007-08-25] I have a number of Gardena products and while they are more expensive than most brands they are also more reliable and are cost effective.
This one is the best. [Posted on 2007-09-05] Over the years I had 3 other kind, they were dropping like flies.
This one is working dutifully.
Don't waste your money on those cheap ones, get this one.
Simply works day after day and this is what you want.

Whole House Humidifier Drain Timer [Posted on 2008-03-19] I have a D____t S____g whole house humidifier that needs the standing water bath drained regularly to reduce mineral buildup and maintain water quality. You can buy a D____t S____gs AutoFlush for $99 or the Gardena 3-cycle electronic water timer for $50. So far it works fine.
CAUTION: the D____t S____gs AutoFlush is powered by a 24-volt transformer off your house power, and if the power goes off, the valve won't open - so water won't be pouring through it if the power goes out and you're not home.......
The Gardena 3-cycle electronic water timer is powered by a 9-volt battery, and works whether the house power is on or not so it will continue the drain cycle and waste water if the house power goes off. This is not a problem for me because if my house power is off, my well pump doesn't run either.
Also Gardena specifically states in their instructions "Warning! -> Only use the Water Timer outdoors. The water timer is not approved for indoor use."
Still works fine, so far - Besides I can also use it as garden watering timer when humidifier season is over in the Spring/Summer.
garden timer [Posted on 2008-03-27] This device has been a boon to date in my windy, variable, Texas climate.
Construction seems solid. Way better than timers in the standard big box retailers.Price is fair.
Not made in the PRC! Can you believe it!
Gardena timer [Posted on 2008-05-09] This product has been functioning well for the most part. There is a slight leak from the hose connection. The seal just isn't tight enough. The directions were a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of setting the timer this is a great timesaving product. I've had it watering twice a day for 3 weeks and it's literally "set it and forget it". This will help keep my lawn green through the hot Texas summer.
