Customer Reviews:

disappointed [Posted on 2005-10-06]
I have purchased many Gardena products. I was disappointed in this sprayer because it leaked the first time I used it. There did not seem to be any adjustment where it did not leak. Also it is not ergomonic. The four trigger sprayer is much better and not so heavy.

Gardening is Messy - or - How to Have Fun in the Garden [Posted on 2006-07-30]
I do a great deal of gardening and have used just about every sprayer, wand, hose, sprinkler, mister, and more. They all leak sooner or later. But when I work in the garden, unlike Martha, I get dirty, sweaty, and wet - after all I AM WORKING IN A GARDEN with plants not indoors and not at the office (sadly I do not work in a nursery).
I like the outdoors and working with the plants, earthworms, soil, mulch and everything else that you find in the garden except for mosquito's. Plants get thirsty a lot and I give them a drink when they ask. They ask by looking dry or droopy. I guess they get sad a lot. But, a little drink of water and a shower and they cheer right up. Wash it was that easy for me.
"Oh yeah," this is supposed to be a review - oh bother. This Gardena replaced a similar model and what I liked most was, and still is, the full flow setting. This feature is great for filling buckets, bird baths, and for watering pots, soaking small beds, etc. I just change to the full flow and adjust the volume on the sprayer - neat. I do not have to remove the "sprayer" and use the hose without any volume control except by kinking it off or going back to the Bib and turn down the volume, Oh, by the way "disappointed," to reduce or eliminate the leaking you might try using epoxy to permanently fasten the large spray head to the main head - a little trouble but not much and you get a terrific sprayer that will not leak. So get out there in the garden - get dirty - get wet - have fun (remember being a kid and getting in trouble with your mom for getting dirty or wet? He-he-he not if she didn't know) When when you are done for the day and look like a day-laborer (that is what you are when gardening) or a homeless person (well temporarily you are homeless because you are in the garden and when you go inside I guess you are a garden-less person!).
I am a dad and I spoke to your mom and we agree it is Okay for you to go out in the garden today and get messy. Have some fun. Just be in and cleaned up before supper or you are grounded!

Poor Design from a normally excellent company [Posted on 2006-08-27]
I have a ton of Gardena stuff, and this is by far the worst of the lot. I have two of the Nozzles and over time both have developed leaks that can not be stopped. It appears to be internal to the pattern selection. Note: I've had both Nozzles less then Six months - They replace a much better Gardena nozzle that alas cracked due to freezing. I would caution all to consider a different nozzle.

The Best I've Found [Posted on 2007-01-12]
I spend a lot of time in the garden (I live in California), and even though we have a sprinkler system, I love to hand water when I can. I'm very particular about my nozzles and Gardena has been my manufacturer of choice for years. This nozzle replaces and older model I had and I was thrilled to find it! I love the different spray patterns, but by far the best feature is the volume control. In my experience, all my nozzles eventually develop leaks over a period of time (which is usually repaired by replacing the o-ring). Sometimes the leak can't be fixed, but that's because I've abused it by dropping it repeatedly on the driveway and it develops internal cracks. So, with a little care, my Gardena nozzles last a long time and I've been very satisfied. They are by far the best I've come across, and this one is the best of the best!

Poor Quality [Posted on 2007-08-05]
The threads on the large spray keep coming off and that is true for the other Gardenia sprayer I bought. Poor design or poor quality. I have used Gardenia products for years and I am disappointed to see the decline of quality.
