I gave away my old Craftsman contractor saw and bought this as an upgrade. Assembly was pretty straightforward. The saw required very little adjustment as it came from the factory. I did have to futz with the bolt stops to correct for one degree of error in both 45 and 90 degrees of blade tilt- again, not much work. You have to provide your own plug, as the cord comes without one. The table top is very flat and very smooth. It cuts like dream. It is fairly quiet, powerful, and free of any detectable vibration. I also purchased the optional 7 foot rails (which, curiously, measure 72"). Nevertheless I think they are worth the extra money. They make it a lot easier when cutting, for example, a full sheet of plywood. I have my router set up on the extension table, but haven't tried using that yet. The extension table also is flat and very smooth. I am REALLY happy with this saw, and paid several hundred dollars less than the Powermatic that I also looked at. I used that money to buy an 8" jointer from Grizzly (which also is a great machine)
