Sturdy, versatile and perfectly functional. The plastic end caps are easy and cheap to replace if need be. Otherwise the clamp seems like it will last forever. Mind the handles if/when cleaning up with solvent, of course. The current price of $20 is good, and the list price of $30 is fair enough. The overall construction is superior to cheaper alternatives I've encountered. (In general I think Gross Stabil products are well made.)
Some minor/aesthetic notes: The handles and caps are red, as described, and not yellow as shown. Out of the box the lacquer on the handles is a little dinged since the parts ship unwrapped. Also, the packaging and instructions are entirely German, but the clamp's uses and assembly are obvious enough.
