This was purchased for my husband who is a retired Mechanical and Structural engineer.
We needed both a tenth rod, to enable us to do a polar stadia survey of our property, as well as a foot-inch rod for construction purposes. This rod, at the same price of either, has both features. Literally two for the price of one.
The rod is used in conjunction with a mint condition, late 1960's vintage, K&E transit and does a great job.
I would highly recommend it to others.
