I'd get another tape (Stanley) instead of this one, unless the price is around $5. It is durable, and the tape itself is good quality. However, the belt clip is bulky, and overall the size of the tape body is bulky. Not really necessary. Get a good Stanley.

I purchased this tape for a gift for a buddy of mine. He loves the quality, ease of use and how solid it is. He says it should hold up in commerical use. Buy one and see how great it is!!

I make my living as a window and door estimator. My last black max stanley lasted about a year before breaking. The quality of the Big Johnson is at least as good. The quick release clip works great, and you
don't have to worry about putting scrapes in your nicer belts, like the
standard clips will.

Big Johnson Tape Measure [Posted on 2008-02-24]
This is the 3rd one I have owned and will not use another tape measure. I love the way it fits in the hand, the lever lock and the tip for inside and outside measurements. The belt clip doesn't fail. A real quality product.
