3410 Clamps [Posted on 2001-09-04]
I have both the Quick-Grip 12" and Jorgensen 3410 clamps and use them equally. Both are easy to setup and hold well. However when I used a slight bit of higher than normal pressure on the Jorgensen clamp it gave way. The hold mechanism failed. The clamp was replaced by the dealer with no problems but I have yet to experience this on a Quick-Grip. On the other hand when used within their limits they hold exceedingly well. The large pads protect the wood and the grip style works well for my applications. I will have no hesitation purchasing other sizes to use for my other projects. All this and the price is very reasonable.
