Clamps work well, one minor design flaw [Posted on 2008-01-02]
These clamps work very nicely, and are easy to use with small items. My only complaint is that (as delivered) there is no way to prevent the slider from falling off the bar end when moving it out (on the steel bar clamps, there is a rivet near the bar end for just this purpose). This is easily solved with a short bolt and lock nut, inserted into a hole drilled near the end of the aluminum bar. Now my sliders never fall off!
