Works quickly and easy to release! [Posted on 2007-09-08]
I didn't have any problems with the mice being killed as another review indicated. However, one I caught the mice (two in less than 8 hours), I was a little nervous about releasing them. Luckily, this trap makes it easy. You just slide back the lid and slide up the side and they ran right out. No tipping, tapping or touching needed! Totally hands off. Phew!

NOT humane [Posted on 2007-10-06]
While this trap is very good at catching mice, it is poorly designed from a humane perspective. I've had two of these traps for a couple of years and on average is mangles one out of three mice! Once, a mouse got stuck in the "back" behind the trap mechanism. I have no idea how it got back there. The stench was horrible. I also cut my hand very badly trying to clean the thing out. If you want a humane trap, this is NOT it.

Ketch-all works [Posted on 2007-11-05]
I purchased two of the Ketch-All units and two of the Tin Cats a month ago. I have caught no mice in the Tin Cats. I have caught five mice in the Ketch-all's (I put some crackers in all of the traps). However, two of the mice were caught in the mechanism of the Ketch-All traps, one of them died, the other one I found soon enough to releases him from the flap. I would still recommend this unit if you have mice to get rid of.

Reviews Are Important! [Posted on 2008-01-08]
I bought the Victor Tin Cat, caught two mice and was able to release them humanely. I was still having a mouse problem after that and called my apartment manager to bring in pest control. I refused to use glue traps and snap traps so the exterminator brought two ketch-all traps. Based on the reviews of buyers, I told him that inhumane death trap would not be set in my apartment. I can't believe this trap is being listed as a humane/live trap when 8 reviews have stated this trap has maimed or injured the mice who enter this tilt-a-whirl of death.

Piece of Junk!  [Posted on 2008-04-25]
This product is poorly designed and kills more than it catches. Save yourself the trauma and buy a "Victor Tin Cat Clear Top". This piece of junk is going in the trash.
