My review is based completely on assembly, fit and finish and quality. I ordered the Precision Router Table Top, as well as the Kreg precision fence.
Packaging of the fence, table and hardware was more than adequate. I was immediately pleased with the weight of the table and fence, which should keep things stiff and solid. The directions were fairly easy, with well drawn pictures. Starting with the fence, it took me around an hour and a half to complete assembly.
The fence and table top are very solid and sturdy. The table top is a MDF core with micro-dot face, and seems to live up to the "less friction" claim.. The adjustable fence faces are also laminated to provide a smooth surface. The extruded aluminum fence is heavy, and easy to adjust. The miter track is also rigid and fits into a pre milled slot and is mounted with 10-24 pan head screws which thread into brass thread inserts.
And now for the .5 point deduction. The fence is mounted to the tabletop by attaching it to a piece of aluminum angle. The predrilled holes in the table seem to be too large for the self tapping screws provided. Of the four holes holding the bracket, one of them stripped while tightening. My first thought was to tear it down and call Kreg for a replacement, but I plan to reinforce the bracket by drilling more holes and adding more fasteners.
Note to Kreg: Use threaded inserts!
