These hose quick connectors are the only ones I've found that don't leak and don't wear out in a few months. There is no rubber gasket to dry up or break, but because they are carefully machined, they seal completely - metal on metal. Kind of like the gasket-less faucet design that all better quality faucets use.

Every gardener should own a supply of male/female hose quick connectors. I have installed these quick connectors on every hose bib, hose reel, sprinkler, spray wand and spray head I own. Now I never have to thread anything, so I can change and move equipment in seconds. I even change spray heads and sprinklers while the water is on -- though I'll admit that took some practice to learn to do without getting wet! (Be sure the wand or spray is open so there is less pressure.) You will not regret buying quick connector sets, in fact, you may find that they become one of your favorite gifts for gardener/handyman friends.

I have my whole array of hoses and fittings set up with these quick connects from Nelson. It makes moving hoses from one point to another a snap. Bonus, the quick connect acts as a swivel so you don't have to fight with your sprayer nozzle. I also like the fact they are made of brass.
