I have owned two Craftsman (one with a Honda motor) self-propelled mowers, and one Cub Cadet self-propelled mower - bought it last year. The Craftsman mowers both had continual problems and the Cub Cadet quit working about a month ago! I checked on the reviews of LawnBoy mowers on Consumer Reports and I decided to go for it with this one. I wanted one that you could stop and pick up items in the yard without having the motor stop. This is the easiest self-propelled mower I have ever owned - the sens-a-speed and blade control system are the reason for the ease of use and the reason I chose this model. I push mow an acre of various terrain and this mower has proven to be up to the task. I love it and look forward to using it for several years to come. Highly recommend!

The mower arrived right on schedule. Unfortunately it had hidden shipping damage that wasn't discovered until it was completely uncrated, shipping container destroyed, and made ready for service. During the first use the drive system failed and is now waiting warranty repair. Somehow it failed me to realize that the mower was a year 2006 model. As the saying goes, if something is to good to be true; then it probably is.

This is a great mower. Started on the first crank out of the box. Quality construction and VERY easy to use. Nice and quiet too. It doesn't vacume like my old Snapper but that could be as simple as a blade change. Overall, I'm very happy with this Lawn-Boy.

I love this mower. My lawn looks like carpet. The Sens-a Speed control is easy to get used to...I never even had self-propelled before! And the Blade Control system is great for when you have to pick something up, open a gate, or move lawn furniture. I couldn't be happier with my choice.

bought this lawn mower june 08 it sputters spurts backfires and barely runs drinks gas like a tank. I purchased this mower because I was tired of working on my old one all the time. I've spent more time working on this one than I've spent mowing grass. guess the Honda engine was not the best choice. wish I would have bought local then I could get my money back. live and learn
