Customer Reviews:

Great Tool You'll Use Frequently [Posted on 2008-05-03]
I've had the Squirt E4 for several months now and it's become one of my most often used tools, second only to either my solder station or Xuron flush cuts. I use its stripper exclusively for wire gauges 18 to 22, the file for refining holes in Altoids tins when making LadyAda's MintyBoosts once they're rough cut with a Dremel, and the tweezer to remove metal splinters from my hands afterwards...

Great tool.

Okay, but quality? ...eh [Posted on 2008-06-28]
Quality over at leatherman may finally be wanning... The knife blade on mine closes crookedly and stikes the liner in its motion. This dulls the blade.

Otherwise it seems to do exactly as they say. Obviously, this is not meant to be a primary use tool....just a backup in a pinch. I understand that point, but I always used to view Leatherman as a company that "rose-above" expectations with their products.

Always Prepared [Posted on 2008-07-21]
If you always need a tool like me this keychain Leatherman is the best to have around.

Great little tool. [Posted on 2008-08-22]
A wonderfully handy little tool. Great if you're setting up speakers or need to fix anything electronic.

The wire strippers on this tool are are good quality (I don't use my regular ones anymore) and handle 12 to 20 AWG.

There's enough on here to fully disassemble most laptops, so cracking open the case of something should be no trouble.

The bottle opener is handy for popping open a refreshing beverage to help your project go more smoothly.

I've cut and stripped hundreds of wires, filed burs off casings, disassembled and reassembled stuff, and my e4 is still in good shape. I've only had to sharpen the knife blade so far.

A quick warning: the plier tips are NOT going to work as a crimp tool. You could break this tool trying to crimp something like that. If it's an emergency, try the space just behind the hinge, but to get a good connection you're going to have to use the real thing. I don't fault this tool for that, though, because it's not designed for that job, and most wire stripper/crimp combo tools can't produce a good crimp either.

Very useful [Posted on 2008-11-16]
I work for a system integrator, and do a lot of work out in the field. This tool is a must have if you do electrical work. It doesn't replace a more robust set of tools, but it has worked in 80% of the work I have done since I bought it. I have used it almost everyday since it arrived and bought a second one when I had to give it up after forgetting it was in my pocket through airport security. Everyone in my field who has seen that I have it has gone out and purchased one, it is that useful.
