Fast delivery, great multi-tool [Posted on 2006-07-10] This was a gift for my husband and he couldn't be happier with it. It is an extremely useful tool and with the nylon sheath and the set of 'bits' it can tackle any small job anywhere. Delivery was prompt. It took a while to find the right supplier for this tool as it seemed like it was out of stock for a while but this company delivered.
When you want all tools available [Posted on 2006-09-01] I purchased this multi-tool for use outdoors, camping and backpacking. I have ended up using it for much more.
This is one of the top models by this line, differing from its sibling in that it lacks a pair of scissors but has a second bit driver.
All of the tools are well crafted. The knife and saw are quite sharp. The screw bits too, although flattened, work surprisingly well. A new safety mechanism prevents blades from opening when the pliers are open.
Most of the tools are easy to open, but as with all such devices you need a bit of fingernails to reach some of them. There are two lanyard hooks supplied, one permanent and one removable, which seems extraneous.
Love it. Worth the price, but the titanium now before it gets more expensive. [Posted on 2007-01-31] Great product, very durable, better than my last Leatherman (a pulse), which I had for many years then lost. I use it at the office because I hate not having that one tool you need for the job, and the bitset is a terrific idea. Fold out blades are incredibly sharp and the clip-point reverse hook thing is very useful. Only one discrepancy, the handles are not the cool gunmetal gray like every picture you see, they're almost the same color as the rest of the tool.
I always have it with me. [Posted on 2007-02-24] It felt heavy. It took a moment to understand the screwdriver bits, and that the Phillips head worked.
But it's been on my belt since I bought it, and it's been very handy: perhaps the only thing it's missing is a pair of scissors. When it's not there, I find myself reaching for it anyway.
I do recommend that you get the leather sheath for it: the nylon sheath is good, but the leather one handles the knife better.
handy and versatile... [Posted on 2007-04-04] Excellent construction - allows for a variety of common tasks that can be accomplished immediately (not after 10 minutes looking for the tools, or using a butter knife or worse - ruining your pocket knife or nail clippers!)
