Morse Metal Blade [Posted on 2007-02-16] Very good for cutting mild steel of 1/4" and less. Beats friction blades by 50%.
MK Morse - Great Steel Cutting Blade [Posted on 2007-04-23] This is a great Steel Cutting Blade. After some research provided to me by MK Morse I found that you need to make sure to use this blade at the correct RPM and remember that you are cutting steel and NOT wood. Using slow pressure and constant feed thru the work piece this worked great. In the past I would use an abrasive blade or a portable bandsaw. This is fast and effective. Nice video TOO.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION FROM MANUFACTURER: [Posted on 2007-04-24] The Steel blade is best suited for 1/4" materials. When possible use a Thin Steel blade on 1/8" and under mild steel materials. Also, blades will spark once the carbide tips are worn off. This usually happens when the machine is pushed through the work piece. Try easing back. As you know, you can't do to metal what you can do with wood. If anyone is wondering if this applies to them to here's how to know for certain: Take the blade off and look around the arbor hole. Did the flanges scratch your blade? If so then its time to ease off! M. K. Morse Technical Service can help anyone with a question or concern.
It did wear out quickly [Posted on 2007-07-23] I used this to do 12 cross cuts on 3"x1.5" x .25 thick channel steel which it did with ease. I noticed that with each cut there were more and more sparks being generated. I then switched to cutting down 2.5" x2.5" x .25 thick angle iron to 2.5" x 1.0" x .25. More and more sparks until after about 3 feet it stopped cutting. Feeds and speeds were not excessive. Note that the Metal Devil is advertised as cutting steel like butter. It did, but not long enough for the $$$.
Great Product for working difficult material [Posted on 2007-10-13] I just finished using the MK Morse Metal Devil 7-1/4-Inch 50 tooth blade to make over 100 crosscuts of 1.5" x 1.5" steel channel. I used a Milwaukee circular saw and all the cuts were very clean, square and without any heat or distortion. This would have taken much, much longer with a Sawsall - consuming many metal cutting blades, and would have left burrs on the edges.
I highly recommend this blade for light gauge steel like conduit or channel. Yes it does wear down the teeth. but this blade is for cutting a very hard material - steel. It does so with minimal noise, sparks, and heat. You can touch the metal the instant the cut is finished, it's that cool. I used a 2"X6" board underneath the steel to support both sides of the workpiece and made a simple plywood crosscut guide so the the saw base cut square across. Go slow and Don't Forget Eye Protection!
I expect to get more mileage from this blade but I also know that I shouldn't expect the same life as a standard carbide blade for wood. Users should follow the manufacturer's recommendations for choosing a blade for specific materials. This blade's tooth geometry will not work properly if used for the wrong metal.
