You need a "0" in the above ratings for items such as this one.

One battery came and was chargeable. The other was usless. Due to the fact that these batteries were purchased for my property in Costa Rica I was past a month before I could return the bad one, and am in fact on my return to the US today with the faulty itemm not having been there in the interem.

Items that are inclosed within hard plastic casings should have a manufactures date on the outside, especially items such as batteries that have a limited life, even if they are re-chargeable.

I'm extremely disappointed with 50% of my purchase being unusable. This has considerably influenced any further purchases with amazon!

I wanted the stronger battery, but my charger wouldn't work on it, so I got a replacement for what I already had. A battery is a battery, and this one works as expected.

They work very well and were reasonably priced. What was key to my purchase was the fact that they were from Makita and not aftermarket knock-offs batteries.

I purchased 2 of these model 1222 Makita 12v batteries to get me back up and running again. Both of my previous batteries had gone down relatively close to each other. I had contemplated upgrading to an 18v tool, but that would have more than doubled my cost. For the DIY work that I do, these are just fine. The only rub that I have is that they are purchased through a third party and you can't take advantage of the super saver that is offered through Amazon directly. Outside of that, the shipment was flawless - on time and in perfect condition. These batteries come in a carded blister container.
