Great for tight spots that bulky battery packs can't get into. Also fairly light weight, but very capable. The battery life (and charger, which is a "smart" charger) is excellent.

Best damn cordless drill on the market! [Posted on 2002-07-13]
Stay away from those high cost 14-18 volt drills. This is the
only battery driven drill you'll ever want to own. My secord,
the first drill is 14-years old, and it still runs perfect. My
second w/ keyless chuck, rubber hand grip, longer running batts,
should last just as long. I've used the new drill to put assemble
a 250ft. stockade fence, some 4,500 screws, and the drill never
failed to drive over and over again.

I've owned my Makita 6095DW for about 8 years. In that time I've used it for all sorts of projects. The project where it shined to most was when I installed a trailer hitch on my Chevy Suburban. I had to drill (8) 1/2 diameter holes to install the hitch. This drill never even flinched. From that day on, I was sold on Makita cordless power tools.
