Wow, this thing was bigger than what I was expecting. Much bigger than the old DeWalt flashlight I had which I think I paid about the same price as this Makita. What else is there to say, bright light, comes with a basic shoulder strap......a much better value than the 12V Dewalt flashlight I had before. Awesome flashlight.

After a long power outage, I got this light because I have a matching Makita drill. The choice was a good one, and I consider it a good purchase, but the head swivel is sloppy. It's shakey, which is surprising in this day and age, because there doesn't seem to be any way to tighten it up. On the other hand, everything works, and I can't imagine how the swivel sloppiness would cause any greater problems. The removable power supply lasts a long time, the charger seems to be of the "smart" variety, since I haven't had any creeping memory problems, and the lamp throws a good, strong beam of light.
