High quality close quarters drill [Posted on 2007-08-23]
This is a high quality close quarters drill. It has a nice variable speed trigger. My only complaint with the drill is that you need to unplug it before using the chuck key to remove a bit as it is easy to bump the trigger, which will cause the chuck to spin lodging the chuck key between the two halves of the plastic body (it pushes them open). I had to take the plastic body apart to remove the stuck chuck key. This happens because the plastics extends out past the chuck right above the trigger.

The drill feels high quality, and has lots of power. It had no problem drilling out a 3/8" hardened steel bolt. Where my cordless drill kept getting stuck, this had the torque to start the bit even when caught in the metal. I looked at both this drill and a Makita, and this one seemed the better value because it was 1/3rd cheaper for similar specs.

AWESOME Drill! [Posted on 2007-12-25]
Yet another great milwaukee product. Got this drill a bit ago. Awesome tool really helps in tight places where the normal pistol grip just couldn't get to. Lots of torque and as always built extremely well. Definitely worth the price I know I can rely on it when I need it.

Smoking foreign made garbage drill [Posted on 2008-01-23]
This drill smoked up after about 2 hours of use on a house project. Milwaukee isn't what it used to be since the company got bought. They are importing cheap garbage from China and slapping their name on it. You might as well go buy a drill from Harbor Freight that proudly bears the "Made in China" nameplate for about 1/6 the price. It will burn out, but at least you can buy six of them for the price of one Milwaukee and not feel like you got ripped off.

Excellent Drill [Posted on 2008-02-18]
An excellent tool to be added to your tool box, but be careful with the switch when your adding & taking out drill bits while plugged in to the electric supply; it's very sensitive. The best recomendation I can give you; ALWAYS unplug it while changing bits.

Hope you only use one size bit [Posted on 2008-04-17]
A couple of things, this thing is large, my hands are on the small side but it was a grasp to get my hand around this tool. My biggest issue was that changing bits was a serious hassle, when I need a close quarter drill, it's because of a limited space, so I might be changing bits several times while I am using this drill for the application that it is intended. Changing bits with this thing is a nightmare, half of the chuck is covered up by this plastic shroud so if I am going from a 1/4" driver to a 1/8" drill and I can't hold onto the lower part of the chuck then I am using the chuck key only to go from 1/4" to 1/8", it takes a long time and the fact that the trigger/switch is always right there makes for a problem for safe use, it makes changinging bits a real hassle. Kinda of a joke, this shroud that covers the chuck, who thought of that?
