Best of the New Mini Drill/Drivers [Posted on 2008-04-14]
This replaced my wife's ancient (and huge) Makita 9V drill. She uses it for general household purposes, and specifically for drapery installation. It is small, light, and handy. The light is usable and the tool has plenty of driving power. It spins a drill bit a bit faster than the Bosch, but neither should be bought as a primary wood drilling tool, as the drill speed is slow by wood drilling standards, though it works fine for my wife's purposes. (All the minis are slow.) The speed is fine for light metal drilling and, of course, general drill/driver use. The build quality is better than the Bosch, in my opinion, and MUCH better than the Black & Decker mini. This is a well thought out product.

Milwaukee sub-compact driver [Posted on 2008-04-15]
Just got this for my work bag to use whenever and I love it. Battery lasts forever. Fits my hand just right and love the balance feel of it. GREAT PRODUCE!!!! Only bad thing is, I want to buy American made produces and thought that this would have been that, but it says "made in china" on the tool. NOT COOL!!

Until I bought this tool, I was chucking my screwdriver bits into my 18V Dewalt drill. Holding that over my head to hang cabinets got real old, real quick. I bought this unit, and fell in love at first trigger pull. I also find that not having to change bits back and forth makes me much more productive.
I also do automotive work, and the small size is very handy for getting in to do interior work.
Pros:
The grip is just perfect. Someone else said it was too big, I have very small hands and it fits me perfectly.
Power, this thing has more than enough power.
Clutch works great.
Durability, a battery seems to last forever, and it comes with two.
Weight, it's very light.
Fuel gauge: Let's you know the state of charge of the battery. Very handy.
LED work illumination You can also turn on the LED by pulling the trigger just a tiny bit to aid in starting screws without turning on the motor.(see cons)
Cons:
Using the unit left handed, I seem to keep bumping the fed/rev switch. Not a biggie
LED light is focused too low. The screwdriver tip is right at the very top of the LED beam. It should be closer to the center.

All in all, I love this tool, and it is my tool of choice if I have to turn a fastener. It's not a drill, it is a driver. for this job it is superb.

Fantastic Driver [Posted on 2008-04-30]
It was a tough choice between this and the Bosch, which many friends have. It's been only a week since I got this and I'm totally sold. The Milwaukee has got a lot of power: I used it on about 35 3" screws into PT (same battery) and it's a breeze with pocket screws and trim heads. Great for cabinet work.

I've used the Bosch a lot and it would have been fine, but this is newer and better. I made the right choice.

Compact, powerful, lightweight. This driver is a tool for small to medium projects that don't require the bigger driver. Its great for weekend projects around the home. If you have regular drill bits you need to get the adapter to use those. Im not a contractor and I'm not working on a house so this driver is all I need
