This saw does everything the ad says. It has positive locks for the mitre cuts and easily cuts 12 inch boards. I purchased a saw blade made for laminate flooring and installed it on the saw. I used the saw to install flooring in a 12 by 25 room and 3 by 12 hallway; and then switched back to the original blade to cut the floor moulding. The saw made the whole project easy and gave it a professional look. I would not recommend the saw for full time use but it is an exceptional buy for the occasional handyman.
