This product is all that it is advertised to be...prior to using Deer Chaser,the flowers in our yard were reduced to stumps because of the deer problem... We are not supporters of hunting and killing deer or any other animal for that matter. The Deer Chaser is a great humane alternative to controlling the damage done by these otherwise beautiful creatures. Our yard now looks great with tons of flowers and no more damage done by foraging deer. A great product worth its price.

To start I don't feel everything about the device was described thoroughly on the website before I purchased the device. I put one of them up the day I received my order and tuned the FM frequency to an National Public Radio station in the area for talk radio as was recommended(that's right folks it is a radio hooked up to a motion sensor and has a light too). I heard the device go off at night (it woke me up) and the next morning the plants I was trying to protect with the device had been chewed on. Same the next night until the weather made them bed down. Save the money.

This thing works! Last year the deer ate my garden off at the top of the ground over and over agian,but now there is not even one single deer track in my garden.

Worked in a roundabout way [Posted on 2008-06-14]
The noise woke my folks who went to the window and saw the startled deer standing there, but they didn't move until my folks banged on the window and drove them away. So they do that a few times a week and the deer might be getting the message, lol. Too urban an area for simple lights and radio to scare them, but like I said .. it works in a roundabout way. Was worth buying and trying for sure!

Dear Chaser NOT Too Effective [Posted on 2008-07-21]
The Deer Chaser product perfoms functionally per specification but is NOT effective at keeping the deer away from my flower beds and vegetable gardens as promoted. The light turns on and off when a motion is detected within the 25ft range and the radio works well on some of the 5 units that I purchased. A couple of them may be defective since the radio does not perform consistently in the same area where others work. Like other advertised product to keep deer from destroying landscape and garden, the Deer Chaser product does NOT deliver as promoted.
